Eniola Ajao’s stylist accused of plagiarism after best dressed win at movie premiere

An Ivorian stylist identified as Lafalaise Dion has accused actress Eniola Ajao’s stylist Anjy Luminee of plagiarising their work.

Dion in a statement on Instagram on Tuesday claimed the dress Eniola wore to Femi Adebayo’s King of Thieves premiere which earned her the best dressed female award was originally inspired by their brand and Luminee recreated it without due credit.

According to the Ivorian stylist, they reached out to Luminee to give them credit for the work but they are yet to receive any response from her.

“We have been dealing with plagiarism for many years, today we are once again faced with a situation of plagiarism. From the facts, it appears that on Monday, April 04, 2022, we have reported a publication on Instagram on which appeared a creation that ANJY LUMINEE COUTRED LTD (@ceolumineeoffical) would have made. The boarding and the LAFALAISE DION team observed similarities between this creation and the original work of the Ivorian brand LAFALAISE.

“We have contacted the creator of the brand to ask her to mention us in her communication or simply removed these images from the illegally reproduced work. To date, we have not received any response from the brand’s managers.

“This Tuesday, April O5, 20222, our legal department sent an official letter to the designer team we are waiting for their response,” the statement read in parts.
