Elumelu hosts Osimhen in Lagos, gets signed jerseys for self, sons

Nigeria international and Napoli forward Victor Osimhen paid a visit to businessman Tony Elumelu and his wife Awele on Monday at their Lagos residence.

Osimhen presented a signed Napoli jersey to the billionaire during the visit. He also signed Super Eagles jerseys for Mr Elumelu’s twin boys.

Elumelu, 60, assured the skipper of Nigerians’ faith in him.  

“We’re all proud of you Victor 🦅🇳🇬 @victorosimhen9. #SerieATopScorer #Scudetto #TOEWay,” he wrote.

The boardroom guru also posted videos of the visit on Instagram Story, some of which Osimhen reposted.

Speaking with Osimhen via video call, one of Elumelu’s sons asked him if he would remain at Napoli amid the interest for his signature by several clubs, the 24-year-old said: “We’ll see in the coming weeks.”

Last season, Osimhen won Napoli her first scudetto in over three decades.

He also finished the 2022/23 season as Serie A top scorer with 26 goals.

Since arriving in Lagos for the break, Osimhen has hung out with musician Peter Okoye of PSquare, ex-international Ogenyi Onazi, social media influencers and many others.

He also visited his former school in Oregun, Lagos.
