DSS raids PenCom office, summons sacked DG

Former PenCom DG Chinelo Anohu-Amazu

Department of State Service (DSS) operatives on Saturday raided the office of the National Pension Commission (PenCom) in Abuja, following the alleged refusal of sacked Director-General, Mrs Chinelo Anohu-Amazu, to hand over to her successor.

President Muhammadu Buhari had on Thursday, April 13 sacked Anohu-Amazu along with heads of 22 other Federal Government agencies.

PenCom staff had threatened to go on strike in reaction to the removal of the DG, calling on Buhari to reverse the action.

The former PenCom boss was said to still be calling the shots as at Friday despite her sacking.

That reportedly prompted DSS operatives to visit the PenCom office on Saturday, but Anohu-Amazu was nowhere to be found.

She has been mandated her to appear at the DSS headquarters in Abuja on Monday for questioning.
