DSS ends National Assembly siege

The Department of State Service (DSS) has ended its blockade of the National Assembly which started about 6 am on Tuesday.

DSS operatives initially prevented senators, House of Representatives members,  staff and journalists from accessing the National Assembly complex.

The operatives were seen departing the complex at 2.47pm.

They started leaving after news of the sacking of DSS Director-General, Lawal Daura, by Acting President Yemi Osinbajo got to them.
