Don’t use me as tool to insult Seun Kuti, Made Kuti tells P-Square’s Peter Okoye

Made Kuti

Afrobeat singer Made Kuti has called on Peter Okoye of P-Square not to use his name in the latter’s fight with his uncle Seun Kuti.

Seun and Peter have been exchanging words on social media over presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) Peter Obi.

While Seun describes Obi as an opportunist, Peter and his twin brother Paul Okoye are campaigning for the former Anambra State governor as the best of those contesting the February 25 presidential elections.

Their exchanges got so bad that Peer dragged Seun’s family, including his father Fela Anikulapo-Kuti and nephew Made into the fray.

“I’ll surely keep you in my prayers. Learn from your nephew @Madekuti cos he is well guided and clean,” Peter wrote in a tweet on Tuesday, using the wrong Twitter handle for Made.

Responding on Wednesday without mentioning Peter’s name, Made wrote: “Good afternoon. Please do not use me as a tool to slight, insult or badmouth my Uncle. I’m not sure how we are perceived so I should clarify we stay united as a family and we intend on keeping it that way. Thank you.”
