Don’t hate me, Ganduje’s daughter says after Sanusi’s dethronement

Fatima Ajimobi, daughter of Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, has called on the public not to ‘hate’ her.

Her comments on Instagram late Monday followed the dethronement of Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II, by Ganduje’s administration.

“Pls don’t @me,” she wrote on Instastories.

According to a statement from Kano State Government on Monday, Sanusi was removed because of insubordination.

“The Emir of Kano is in total disrespect to lawful instruction from the office of the state Governor and other lawful authorities, including his persistent refusal to attend official meetings and program organised by the government without any lawful justification which amount to total insubordination,” the statement read.

“It is on record and in so many instances, Malam Muhammad Sanusi II has been found breaching part 3 section 13 (a-e) of the Kano state emirate law 2019 and if left unchecked will destroy the good and established image of the Kano Emirate.”

Fatima, who is married to Idris, son of former governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi, regularly gets knocks and praises in reactions to her father’s actions.
