Dr. Wilson Orhiunu, a Nigerian general practitioner based in Birmingham, United Kingdom, will be running the Lagos City Marathon on February 10, 2018 to raise money for the Home Of God’s Grace for orphans and widows in Ikorodu, Lagos.

A GoFundMe account (click here) has already been opened for the purpose of raising funds for the orphanage through the marathon.

The University of Benin graduate ran the Birmingham Half Marathon in 2016 to raise money for the Ikorodu orphanage.

Founded in 1997 by Mrs. Grace Boluwajoko, Home of God’s Grace caters for motherless, abandoned and less privileged children in a homely environment to nurture them in health and love.

It has given care to over 90 children, providing them tertiary, secondary, primary and nursery education.

The organisation also accommodates homeless and jobless young widow for three years, giving them vocational skills so that they can be independent of the home and live together with their children while the home gives them support.

It has so far supported more than 100 widows.
