DJ acquitted of child sex abuse charges after wife tells court his penis is small

A disc jockey accused of raping a child in England has been acquitted after his wife testified that he had a small penis.

Jerome Joe, 36, was charged with abusing a girl when she was 13. The victim had told officers her attacker had an “exceptionally large penis”.

The suspect’s wife, Sandra Appiah, 30, however told the court that Joe’s penis was actually smaller than average.

“I have seen loads of penises,” she told the Old Bailey. “Too many to remember. I would say Jerome’s is little in comparison to some.”

The victim had picked Joe out of an ID parade, and said he abused her on at least five occasions over a year.

However, the DJ claimed he had been mistaken for another man called ‘Bling’ because they look similar.

The jury acquitted him of all charges after deliberating for 11 hours and 38 minutes.

The girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was the victim of a grooming gang in Buckinghamshire, South East England that abused minors between 2006 and 2012.

She had been pimped out and raped by more than 60 men by the time she turned 16.

Six men were convicted last July of 20 offences, which included rape and arranging child prostitution.

Joe was alleged to have been connected to this gang, standing on one count of rape and another alternative count of sexual activity with a child. The jury could not reach a verdict on his case, so he was given a retrial.

Denying both offences, he said: “I do not believe in having sex with little girls. I am not that kind of person.”
