Nigeria’s ambassador to Morocco Mansur Bamalli has died aged 42.

He was the younger brother of the Emir of Zazzau in Kaduna and held the traditional title of Magajin Garin Zazzau.

Bamalli died at a private hospital in Lagos while on transit to Morocco, a statement by the media and publicity officer of the Zazzau emirate council said on Friday.

“Funeral prayers will be announced later,” said the statement.

Bamalli’s death comes two months after the demise of Nigeria’s ambassador to France Kayode Laro.
