Diego Costa, Mata left out of Spain’s provisional Euro 2016 squad

Chelsea striker, Diego Costa, and Manchester United midfielder, Juan Mata, top the list of high-profile players missing in Spain’s provisional squad for Euro 2016 released on Tuesday.

La Furia Roja coach, Vincente Del Bosque, named a 25-man squad, which also saw Atletico Madrid striker, Fernando Torres, and Arsenal Midfielder, Santi Carzola, excluded by the defending champions.

Spain will play three friendlies – against Bosnia, South Korea and Georgia – before the start of their title defence against Czech Republic on June 13.
