Media entrepreneur and politician Dele Momodu has hosted Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate Peter Obi, writer Onyeka Nwelue and investigative journalist David Hundeyin at his residence in Accra, Ghana.
In a post on Instagram on Wednesday, the 65-year-old shared a video showing himself receiving Mr Obi at the airport before driving him to his home.
The two later sat for a discussion, the content of which was not made public.
“Earlier this morning, I welcomed the former Labour Party Presidential candidate and former Anambra State Governor, His Excellency Peter Obi, to the city of Accra, Ghana, and we headed to my home for breakfast,” Momodu wrote in the caption.
On Tuesday, Momodu hosted Mr Hundeyin and his wife at the same residence.
In a video of that meeting, Momodu described Hundeyin as “a great writer” and said they exchanged ideas about Africa.
Before that, on Monday night, Momodu received Onyeka Nwelue, describing him as “a literary giant.”
“Last night in Accra, I hosted a literary giant, the ubiquitous @officialonyekanwelue at my home. We’ve come way back and I was most delighted to see how influential he’s grown and become in the world of literary arts and advocacy for good initiatives. I’m most grateful for his generous gifts of some fantastic books,” Momodu wrote.
Mr Nwelue is a writer and filmmaker known for his works in literature and his involvement in cultural projects.
Hundeyin has lived in Ghana in recent years and gained prominence for his investigative reports on Nigerian politics, security and governance.
He is currently in exile after facing security threats in Nigeria.
Dele Momodu is the publisher of Ovation International magazine and a former member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He contested the party’s presidential ticket in 2022.
