An audio conversation between the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the February 25 poll Peter Obi and clergyman Bishop David Oyedepo has been leaked.

The duo had the conversation prior to the February 25 presidential election in which Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was declared winner.

The conversation begins with Oyedepo telling Obi that he informed his congregants that Nigeria needs a healthy leader. Obi thanks him and asks him to help convince members of his church in the southwest and in Kwara to vote for him.

“All Nigerians have equal stake in this nation, nobody has the right to claim that he is dashing something to someone,” Oyedepo told Obi.

In July 2022, Obi visited Oyedepo at Faith Tabernacle, headquarters of Living Faith Church International, in Ota, Ogun State in the wake of the cleric’s 61st birthday.

On Thursday, December 8, 2022, the politician attended Shiloh 2022, the biggest programme of the year at Faith Tabernacle.

The annual programme began on Tuesday, December 6 and was concluded on Sunday, December 11.
