President of Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide Apostle Johnson Suleman on Thursday defended a former presidential aide Reno Omokri who was accused of threatening the mother of an alleged victim of sexual assault.

Deborah Archibong, mother of Don-Davis Archibong who was allegedly sexually assaulted at Deeper Life High School, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State capital, appeared in a video, saying Mr Omokri and others threatened her over the incident which is now before a court.

Suleman, however, claimed that the woman was telling lies on Omokri.

“Just saw a video of a lady saying @renoomokri called her for accusing deeper life church and threatened her life.

“That’s not the Reno I know. I am not surprised. Many people thrive in blackmail so anything should be expected. I know the pains of a mother but to add lies is evil,” he tweeted.

Omokri has also denied speaking with the woman.
