Dare Adeboye

The family of Pastors Enoch and Foluke Adeboye has described the death of Pastor Dare Adeboye last year as a trying and challenging period.

The first son of the respected couple Adeolu Adeboye stated this in an appreciation note on Wednesday on behalf of the family to mark the one anniversary of Dare’s death. The last son of the family Leke Adeboye posted the note to Instagram.

“It was expectedly a trying and challenging period for us individually and as a family. We thank our God Almighty for his comfort, his succour and for giving us strength during this period in particular, and in the past year,” the family said.

“We take this opportunity to thank all from far and wide, too numerous to limit to this page, who stood by us in prayers, through goodwill messages, telephone calls and personal visits; you helped in no small measure to see us through this difficult period.”

Dare died on May 4, 2021 in Eket, Akwa Ibom State, where he was based with his family.

The 42-year-old was the assistant pastor in charge of region (youth) 35 before his death. He was father to three daughters.

Dare was buried one week after his death following a farewell service at the Youth Centre, Redemption Camp.
