Dabota Lawson accuses Sophia Momodu of faking boat ownership at RHOLagos reunion

The Season 3 reunion of The Real Housewives of Lagos took a dramatic turn on Sunday as Dabota Lawson confronted fellow cast member Sophia Momodu over her controversial claim of owning a boat.

The tension between both women had been brewing since an earlier episode where Dabota organised a yacht trip for the ladies.

Sophia, who is singer Davido’s first baby mama, chose to arrive separately and later claimed, “I don’t book a boat, I own a boat.”

During the reunion, Dabota publicly challenged her. “Your lifestyle doesn’t affect me because I don’t go around claiming what I don’t own. Do you know what it means to own a boat or buy a boat?” she asked.

Sophia explained that the boat actually belongs to her boyfriend but bears her name. But Dabota wasn’t having it. She alleged that she knows the real owner of the boat Sophia claimed was hers.

“I don’t know why you’re doing those kinds of things. The same way you were claiming a house that wasn’t yours, including a boat that isn’t yours. Who are you trying to impress?” she added.

The confrontation sparked a frenzy online, with viewers divided over the issue.

Mariam Adun queried, “Sophia lied for what exactly?”

Temmie stated, “I still don’t believe she doesn’t own a boat. E shock me.”

Okafor wrote, “I feel for Sophia at this point. Whatever has made up with lies is really sad.”

Gold commented, “Sophia for no just come this show. She don reduce her steeze.”

Remzy added, “Dabota is salvage abeg.”

In a related drama, Sophia recently came under fire after she posted a video on Snapchat, showcasing a luxury apartment and giving the impression that she owned it.

Shortly after, a real estate company called her out, stating the apartment had already been sold to another client and that Sophia had no ownership claim to the property.

The real estate firm accused her of misleading the public, though the issue was later resolved privately after both parties reached a mutual agreement.
