Court remands suspected killers of LASU student

An Osun State Magistrates’ Court sitting in Apomu has ordered the remand of self-acclaimed prophet, Segun Philip; Owolabi Adeeko and his mother, Bola Adeeko, in Ilesha Correctional Centre over the killing of Favour Daley-Oladele.

Ms Daley-Oladele, a final year Sociology student of Lagos State University (LASU), was murdered in Ikoyi-Ile, Osun on December 8, 2019, for money ritual.

The defendants’ plea to the charges could not be taken on Friday owing to the nature of the case.

Magistrate Olukunle Idowu-Faith adjourned till March 25 for mention and remanded the defendants in Ilesha Correctional Centre.

Daley-Oladele was killed and mutilated for ritual purpose by her boyfriend Owolabi and the prophet.

Police exhumed her dismembered body from a dry shallow well on January 4.

Bola, Owolabi’s mother, denies complicity in the killing.
