The Federal High Court in Abuja has fined the Department of State Services (DSS) N100, 000 with an order to release convener of #RevolutionNow protest, Omoyele Sowore, in 24 hours.

Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu gave the order on Thursday following delay from DSS to serve the defence counsel with additional proof of evidence in the ongoing trial of Mr Sowore and his co-defendant, Olawale Bakare.

The visibly angry judge said the fine must be paid to the defendants before the next adjourned date.

The case was adjourned again until December 6 for trial continuation.

Sowore and Bakare are charged with seven counts of treasonable felony and other sundry offences instituted against them by the Federal Government.

Sowore has been in DSS detention since his arrest in Lagos on August 3.
