Correctional service transfers Bobrisky to Kirikiri

Bobrisky in EFCC custody

The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) has transferred embattled cross-dresser Bobrisky from the Ikoyi Correctional Center to the Kirikiri Maximum Correctional Centre in Lagos.

The crossdresser was sentenced to six months imprisonment on Friday, April 12, by Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court in Lagos for abusing the naira.

He was then remanded to serve his jail term at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre, with the judge ruling that the sentence would commence on March 24, 2024, the day of his arrest.

Bobrisky had pleaded guilty to the four-charge.

However, an NCoS official disclosed to Leadership that the cross-dresser is presently held at the Kirikiri Prison and was discreetly transferred last weekend to Kirikiri.

He added that due to security reasons, Bobrisky was quietly moved to the facility where he will serve his term.

He stated, “It is procedural that he is moved to Kirikiri since it is an expansive prison compared to what we have here.”
