A total of 36 persons have been confirmed dead as rescue operation enters its third day after a 21-storey building came crashing down on Gerrard Road, Ikoyi, Lagos on Monday.
Acting coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Lagos State chapter Ibrahim Farinloye said on Thursday that 33 of the deceased are men while three are women.
The number of deceased persons pulled out from the rubble stood at 22 as of Wednesday.
However, the number of survivors remained nine at the time of filing this report.
