Chrisland: Whitney Adeniran’s mother alleges school wants second autopsy

Chrisland School student Whitney Adeniran buried

Blessing Adeniran, mother of the student of Chrisland High School in Lagos who died of electrocution, has alleged that the school is calling for another autopsy.

The late student Whitney was buried in Lagos on Thursday after an autopsy was conducted to ascertain the cause of her death on February 9, 2023.

The autopsy, Lagos State Government said, confirmed the 12-year-old was electrocuted during the school’s inter-house sports held at Agege Stadium in Lagos.

On Friday, Mrs Adeniran raised an alarm on Instagram, the medium she uses in fighting her cause, alleging that the school wants her daughter’s body exhumed for another autopsy.

She also said in the post on Instagram Stories that the school was represented during the autopsy by a pathologist.

“Chrisland!!! Play all your games!!! They just called the police that they want a repeat autopsy. They want to exhume my daughter’s body for another butchering. These people are a bunch of jokers!” the angry mother wrote.

“Chrisland, you had your own private pathologist at that autopsy examination ooo. He gave you the report, for you to even think of doing this is pure evil…

“If this is your plot to frustrate me, then get ready to lose because you have failed.”

Lagos State Government has sought the advice of the director of public prosecution before the case is taken to court.

The school has remained shut by the government since the incident became public knowledge.
