Chrisland Schools’ pupil apologises for action, deletes dance videos

A female pupil of Chrisland Schools, Lagos State, allegedly involved in sexual activity with a male peer during a school trip to Dubai has apologised for her action.

The minor appeared in viral videos engaging in sexual acts with a male colleague. According to the school, the “immoral behaviour” occurred during a truth-or-dare game.

The female pupil took to her Likee page last Friday and deleted all the videos on her account where she has over 12,400 followers.

The child has been operating the page for three years before the Dubai incident.

“I made a mistake, now I’m living with the consequences. I regret it, I really do. And I’m sorry,” she said.

On her Tiktok account where she has 12,000 followers, she sought the forgiveness of her followers last Thursday.

“Don’t let your past dictate who you are, but let it be a lesson that strengthens the person you’ll become,” she said.

Her mother claimed the child was gang-raped and that the school tried to cover it up. She also accused the school of conducting a pregnancy test on her without parental consent, allegations that were denied by the school.

The elite school was shut by the state government on April 18 following outrage over the matter. It was however reopened last weekend to allow students resume learning on Monday.

Last week, the police interrogated the school management, the teachers who participated in the competition, and the pupils’ parents.
