Actress and entrepreneur Carolyna Hutchings has fired back at fans threatening to withdraw their support over her actions on The Real Housewives of Lagos.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, Carolyna dismissed the backlash and made it clear she would not tone down her personality for anyone.

“To those of you that want to unfan me because I ain’t what I was in Season 1, I have gotten the matches to burn the bridge. See you at dawn, sugar,” she wrote.

She emphasised that the show was about reality, not appearances.

“This is a reality TV show, NOT a beauty pageant or a convent/seminary. Here, we bring in the past, present, and future the way it is.

“I KEEP IT REAL. Energy for energy, vibes for vibes, demon for demon, angel for angel. You can choke on your negative feelings,” she added.

Carolyna also dismissed the need for validation, saying, “I don’t sell ice cream. You love me, I love you. You hate me, you simply don’t exist to me.”

Her response comes amid rising tensions between her and fellow cast member Dabota Lawson in the third season of RHOLagos, which premiered on January 12, 2025.

Their conflict started during Dabota’s beach getaway, where disagreements over tardiness and transportation arrangements created friction.

Carolyna later revisited the issue during a baking session with Laura Ikeji and Sophia Momodu, criticizing Diiadem for always siding with Dabota and recalling an uncomfortable visit to Dabota’s house.
