Chevron’s CMD in divorce saga as court bars him from evicting wife

Chevron CMD Rotimi Babalola and wife

A Lagos High Court has barred the chief medical director of Chevron Nigeria Limited Dr Rotimi Babalola from evicting his wife Adediwura Babalola from their matrimonial home.

Justice Olukayode Ogunjobi gave the ruling pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice filed in the divorce petition with suit LD/9231WD/2021 by his wife.

The judge ruled after hearing arguments made by the petitioner’s counsel Adeleke Agbola, who pleaded for accelerated grant of the injunction in view of Babalola’s alleged insistence to evict his wife from their matrimonial home.

Justice Ogunjobi specifically barred Babalola, his servants, privies, or workmen from entering, trespassing, or otherwise disturbing the possession of the building at 8, Service Crescent, Cooperative Villa, Badore, Ajah, Lagos.

The motion on notice was adjourned to September 20.
