Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria Olayemi Cardoso will lead Nigeria’s delegation to the World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF) annual meeting in Washington DC.
The meeting will open on Monday.
According to a statement by presidential aide Bayo Onanuga on Sunday, Mr Cardoso, who serves as the alternate governor, will represent the minister of finance and coordinating minister of the economy, Wale Edun, who is indisposed.
The delegation will also include the minister of state for finance, Doris Uzoka-Anite.
The World Bank stated that the meetings will feature the Development Committee Plenary session on October 16 and the International Monetary and Financial Committee meetings on October 17.
Other events lined up include regional briefings, press conferences and discussions on international development, the global economy and financial markets.
