CAF Beach AFCON: Nigeria crash to Senegal in final

After qualifying for the World Cup, Nigeria’s Super Sand Eagles were humiliated 6-1 by Senegal in Friday’s CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations final.
This ensured the Terenga Lions successfully defended their crown.
The final was a repeat of the final of the last edition hosted in Lagos which the Senegalese side won 8-4.
Abu Azeez shot the Sand Eagles into an early lead in the third minute but a brace from Lansana Diassy and Amadou Ba coupled with strikes from Mbaye Diagne and Babacar Fall secured a second title for Senegal.
Both teams have also qualified for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2019 in Paraguay for the second edition running.
Meanwhile, Egypt beat Morocco 3-2 at their playoff match. Hosts Egypt finished third while Morocco finished 4th.
Elsewhere on the sixth day of action in Sharm El Sheikh, Madagascar and Tanzania won in the playoffs to secure fifth and seventh place.
