Busola Dakolo, wife of singer Timi Dakolo, has announced that she has begun her doctorate journey and is asking Nigerians to keep her in their prayers.

The photographer made the announcement in an Instagram post on Thursday, saying, “Wish me well. I decided to pursue a doctorate degree. I can and I will.”

Her husband Timi Dakolo reacted to the post with the comment, “A very very proud husband,” while actress Juliet Ibrahim wrote, “You’ve got this girl.”

Other fans also took to the comment section to show support for Busola.

Busola, who studied geology and mineral resources at the University of Ilorin, also holds a diploma in photography from the New York Film Academy.

She is the founder of SkillsKitchen, a training initiative that empowers women and young people with practical skills.

In 2019, Busola came into the spotlight when she accused Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) founder Biodun Fatoyinbo of rape, an allegation that sparked nationwide conversations about sexual abuse and accountability in the church.

Busola and Timi Dakolo got married in 2012 and have three children together.
