Burna Boy, mum called out over refusal to pay for food delivery

Burna Boy mum Bose Ogulu

A lady identified as Obele has accused singer Burna Boy and his mum Bose Ogulu of refusing to pay for the services rendered to them.

The lady who runs a food business claimed she made and delivered roasted plantain popularly known as bole and fried fish to the singer and his crew and did not get paid for her service.

In a series of posts in her Instagram story on Wednesday, Obele shared screenshots of conversations that she claimed were that of her and Mrs Ogulu, an old Instagram post of Burna Boy promising to pay £10k to anyone who can make and deliver Port Harcourt bole and fish in London. He also joked about marrying anyone who obliges his request.

Sharing a photo of Burna Boy’s mum who doubles as his manager, Obele wrote: “On this day, I hope you get to remember the young female entrepreneur who delivered bole and fish to you and your team in England and you have refused to pay her up till now. Happy International Women’s Day.”

The lady also posted a video of her preparing the meal.

“I had to travel to the nearest African shop which was an hour away from where I lived to buy the ingredients for the bole in the cold by 8 pm, as I only got the delivery details by 7 pm,” she wrote in parts.

Burna Boy and his mum are yet to react to the allegation at the time of filing this report.
