Yahuza is in his second year at the Department of Science and Technology Education while Is’mail represents Madobi state constituency at the state assembly.

Murtala Tijjani, elder brother of the student, told Premium Times that the judge released Yahuza unconditionally.

The judge fixed December 10 for continuation of the case.

Qed.ng reported that the BUK student was arrested by the police in Madobi Local Government Area on September 30.

The lawmaker had said that he reported the undergraduate to the authorities because he felt offended by the Facebook post.

Mr Is’mail was later heard in a leaked audio clip saying the state’s chief judge, Nuruddeen Sagir, ordered the student’s prolonged detention.

Yahuza is now likely to repeat a year in the university after missing an entire semester examination.
