Buba Marwa’s first wife dies at 66

Zainab Marwa, first wife of the chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Brigadier General Mohammed Buba Marwa (retd.), has died.

She died early Saturday at the age of 66 following a brief illness, a statement by the family said.

She is survived by four adult children: Abubakar, Mohamed Jr, Mariam and Zainab, and 10 grandchildren as well as her siblings and aged mother.

During her lifetime, she championed the course of women and the girl child.

The family said in the statement that burial arrangement will be announced later.
