Former Mr Nigeria, Bryan Okwara, has joked that he is drinking chloroquine juice as he starts off the weekend.
The 34-year-old made the joke on Instagram on Friday when he posted a picture of himself having a drink with an unidentified man.
“Starting the Friday off with some chilled chloroquine juice!” the actor wrote.
US President Donald Trump said in a Thursday press briefing that chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine drugs used to treat malaria and severe arthritis were approved by the Food and Drug Administration to test as a Covid-19 treatment.
The drugs will, however, be used in a clinical trial.
