British socialite, Katie Price, to adopt Nigerian child

British model, author and singer, Katie Price, has announced that she is adopting a Nigerian child.

The mother-of-five made the revelation on UK TV show, This Morning, on Monday.

She said she has already started the process and had planned to visit Nigeria last weekend but had to cancel as it was her turn to have the children. 

“I always said I wanted to adopt an orphan. I don’t care if they have disabilities or what age they are. I feel like I can offer them a place,” she told the show’s presenters, Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield

The 40-year-old previously known as Jordan revealed she was spurred into taking action when she got talking to a woman at her nail salon who works with an orphanage in Nigeria.

She said: “She was telling me how she was looking after this orphan and I told her I always wanted to adopt.

“It is SO hard to adopt over here, I’ve looking into it for ages. Hopefully something will happen. I still want my own kids don’t get me wrong and will definitely have more.”

The reality TV star is already mother to Harvey, 16, from a relationship with footballer Dwight Yorke, 47.

Then there is Junior, 13, and Princess, 11, from her marriage to Peter Andre and Jett, five and Bunny, four, from her marriage to Kieran Hayler.

Katie, is currently in a relationship with personal trainer, Kris Boyson, who is 10 years younger than her.
