British columnist, Katie Hopkins, has mocked Nigeria over the fire that broke out at the popular Balogun Market on Lagos Island on Tuesday.

Hopkins, who featured in reality TV show, The Apprentice, reacted to a viral video of a man mistaken for a firefighter trying to put out the huge fire at Balogun Market with buckets of water.

“Next time you want to criticise our fantastic British firefighters, be glad you aren’t Nigeria,” she wrote on Twitter.

The Lagos State Fire Service and Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) were part of emergency responders who were at the scene to put out the fire.
