Bill Gates praises London to Lagos biker Kunle Adeyanju

American billionaire Bill Gates has expressed surprise at the Nigerian biker Kunle Adeyanju who rode from London to Lagos to campaign for an end to polio in Africa.

Reacting on Tuesday night via Twitter to a report about Mr Adeyanju’s sojourn, the philanthropist exclaimed “Incredible”.

Adeyanju thanked Mr Gates for acknowledging his efforts. He also thanked him for his donation to Rotary Foundation.

“Thank you @BillGates for the kind words, & a big thank you also for your tremendous support to Rotary Foundation towards eradication of Polio & solving other world problems,” the biker tweeted on Wednesday.

“Your good works birthed the inspiration for #LondonToLagos.”

Adeyanju began his ride on April 19, completing the trip in 41 days. During his sojourn, he joined in community works in several African countries.

The biker, who found love in an Ivorian woman Eba Zenab, was given a warm reception on his arrival in Lagos on May 29.
