Bidoun Fatoyinbo was called by God, cannot be put to shame – Ashimolowo

Senior Pastor of Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC) in London, Matthew Ashimolowo, on Sunday visited the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) headquarters in Abuja.

His visit came days after a High Court in Bwari, Abuja struck out the rape suit filed by celebrity photographer, Busola Dakolo, against the senior pastor of COZA, Biodun Fatoyinbo.

Justice Oathman Musa ruled that the matter amounted to injustice and an abuse of judicial process as the case was empty and purely sentimental, adding that the suit was aimed more at cruelty than obtaining justice.

In his sermon, Ashimolowo claimed that Pastor Fatoyinbo could not be put to shame because he had a covenant with God.

“Bidoun Fatoyinbo has four things. He has a calling, a commitment, he has a consecration and he has a covenant with God.

“So if you want to come against him, you have to come against these four seeds. He did not gatecrash, he was called. He is committed, he is consecrated and then there is a covenant,” he said.

In September, Ashimolowo paid a surprise visit to the church to offer his support in the heat of the rape allegation.

Mrs Dakolo had listed Ashimolowo as part of witnesses in her suit against Fatoyinbo.
