Beyoncé breaks the internet with Toni Braxton tribute

American megastar, Beyoncé, has once again taken over the internet, this time with a Halloween tribute to R&B icon, Toni Braxton.

In a tear-jerking show of respect to Ms Braxton and her self-titled 1993 debut album, Bey transformed into what she dubbed “Phoni Braxton.”

She faithfully recreated the sassy pixie wig, white tank, light wash denim, leather jacket and waist belt from the album cover.

“Sending love and adoration to one of our talented legends. Thank you for the countless bops. Your tone, your beauty, your range, and your God-given talent is treasured. Loving you always,” Beyoncé wrote.

And Toni Braxton absolutely loved it.

“Phoni Braxton!? NEVER!!! How do you look better than me on MY album cover?” she tweeted. “I LOVE IT, Such a superstar! Thanks for the love sis!” she replied.

It has become tradition for Beyoncé to pay homage to her inspirations on Halloween having channelled Salt-N-Pepa, Janet Jackson and Lil Kim in the past.

Like in previous years, this year’s nod to Toni Braxton got the internet talking.
