Cameron Murray-Bruce, the first grandson of Senator Ben Murray-Bruce, has turned one.

The former Bayelsa East lawmaker announced this in a message shared on Instagram on Friday.

The boy was born to Murray-Bruce’s son Jared and daughter-in-law Susie.

“My grandson, Cameron, is one year old today,” Murray-Bruce said.

The birth of the child came as a relief for the Murray-Bruce family following the death of its matriarch Margaret in February 2022.

Murray-Bruce said he was “excited” at the birth of the boy.

The 67-year-old represented Bayelsa East in the Senate from 2015 to 2019. He co-founded Silverbird Group, an entertainment company that has been synonymous with beauty pageantry in Nigeria. Murray-Bruce lost Evelyn, his wife of 41 years, to cancer in 2021.
