Musician-turned-politician Banky W and his wife Adesua Etomi-Wellington on Sunday attended church together amid rumour that the former cheated on his wife.
A blogger made the allegation on Saturday, claiming Banky W cheated on his wife with his former signee, Niyola. The blogger further said Niyola had several abortions after being impregnated by Banky W.
However, Banky W spoke to the congregation at The Waterbrooks Church in Lagos on Sunday on the topic “The prison of pornography.”
The former singer, who lost his bid to represent Eti-Osa at the House of Representatives during the February 25 poll, declared that the devil was a liar and assured the congregation that God was in control.
“The devil really didn’t want you to hear this message. In fact, he didn’t want us to enter into this series at all. There was an attack at the beginning, but here we are. But the devil is a liar. And God is in control,” he said.
Banky W, born Bankole Wellington, appreciated his wife for supporting him during his struggle with pornography.
“If I don’t thank God for anything in my life, I thank God for this woman,” he said, pointing at Adesua.
