Awards: Tiwa Savage’s fans launch online campaign for votes

Tiwa Savage’s fans have launched an online campaign for her to win every single award she has been nominated for before the close of the year.

The hashtag #VoteTiwaSavage was a trending topic for most part of Wednesday.

The ‘My Darling’ hit maker is nominated in six different categories for the African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) holding in Dallas, Texas on October 15.

They are Artiste of the Year, Best Female West Africa, Best African Collaboration, Song of the Year, AFRIMMA Video of the Year and Best Artiste in African Contemporary.

Tiwa is also up for winning the Best Female Award and Video of The Year at the MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA) in Johannesburg, South Africa on October 22.

The mother-of-one is nominated for the Best African Act at the Music of Black Origin (MOBO) Awards in Glasgow, Scotland on November 4.

Given the formidable opposition she is up against, her fans have mounted a vigorous campaign for her.

Meanwhile, the ‘Bad’ music video of the 36-year-old entertainer reached over 3 million views on YouTube so the singer took to Twitter to thank radio and TV stations on Wednesday.
