Atiku’s son tests positive for coronavirus

Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 election, Atiku Abubakar, has announced that his son tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19).

The former vice president of Nigeria made this known via his verified Twitter handle on Sunday.

“My son has tested positive for coronavirus,” he tweeted.

He said the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has been duly informed and his son has been moved to Gwagwalada Specialist Teaching Hospital in Abuja for treatment and management.

Thirty cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Nigeria.

Two have been discharged with no death.

Lagos is the epicenter of the disease with 22 cases.

Four cases have been recorded in Abuja, two in Ogun State and one each in Oyo and Ekiti.
