Super Falcons star, Asisat Oshoala, has completed a move to Arsenal Ladies from rivals, Liverpool, for an undisclosed fee.

Oshoala, 21, joined the Reds from Nigerian side Rivers Angels last January scoring thrice in 12 League appearances.

Her move to Anfield made her the first player from Africa to feature in the Women’s Super League.

But a two-month injury lay-off meant Oshoala was unavailable as Liverpool finished seventh in the league.

In 2014, she was player of the tournament at both the Under-20 World Cup and the African Women’s Championship. She was also named the BBC’s Women’s Footballer of the Year the next year.

“Asisat is a fantastic talent and will be a great addition to our squad,” Arsenal Ladies manager Pedro Losa told the club’s website.

“She is quick, with excellent feet and has proven she can score goals so it’s very positive she has decided to join us.”

Apart from being crowned African Women’s Footballer of the year in 2014, Oshoala helped Nigeria to the African Women’s Championship same year.
