Gunmen last Saturday attacked some communities in Zamfara killing at least 10 people.

The attackers invaded Kursasa, Kurya and Gidan Achali communities in Shinkafi local government area shooting sporadically.

Residents said over 40 people, mainly farmers, were killed in the attacks. But the police put the casualty figure at 10.

Saturday’s attack was the most recent in Zamfara which has become a den of kidnappers and killers.
