Immediate past governor of Osun State, Rauf Aregbesola, has denied having problems with his successor, Gboyega Oyetola.

Aregbesola, who denied rumours of the rift during his 62nd birthday lecture held in Osogbo at the weekend, urged Osun residents not to pay attention to such rumours.

“The current government was as a result of our unfettered commitment, result and effort. We cannot but continue to pray for the progress of what we laboured and strived for.

“Oyetola is my senior brother who is senior to me in all ramifications. He has achieved a lot in his personal life before having a stint at all in government. So there’s nothing meaningful in me having any issue with him. Let the detractors know that there can only be peace within us and the state,” Aregbesola said.

The former governor had last week joined the national economic council headed by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo for its valedictory session.
