Announcing Bobrisky as best dressed female at movie premiere is disrespectful to women – Dayo Amusa

Actress Dayo Amusa has expressed her disappointment over crossdresser Bobrisky winning the best-dressed female at Eniola Ajao’s Ajakaju: Beast of Two Worlds.

The star-studded premiere themed ‘Royal Beast’ was held in Lagos on Sunday with the likes of Toyin Abraham, Iyabo Ojo, Dayo Amusa, Odunlade Adeokola, Kunle Afolayan, and Femi Adebayo in attendance.

Surprisingly, Bobrisky was named the best-dressed female at the event, beating other female celebrities who could not believe that the crossdresser out-dressed them.

The crossdresser rocked a black silver stoned dress and nails painted black to match. The 32-year-old was announced best dressed by Femi Adebayo and comedian Gbenga Adeyinka and was presented with a cheque of one million naira.

Reacting in a video on her Instagram account on Monday, Dayo Amusa questioned why a crossdresser was placed in the same category as women.

She faulted the judges’ decision, saying that announcing Bobrisky as the winner is disrespectful to women. Dayo opined that a category should have been created for crossdressers instead.

She said: “I am not happy, the winner could be anyone but definitely not a crossdresser. I cannot imagine the judges disrespecting every woman that made effort to attend that event. Now you had to pick a winner, a female best dressed and a male best dressed, and then you now watered the efforts of all the individuals that were at that event by giving the best-dressed female to a crossdresser, I don’t understand. Are the judges okay? Because I had to walk out of that event.
