The news Wednesday that Chelsea have agreed a deal with Barcelona to sign winger Pedro for a fee of £21m was greeted with different reactions by football fans.
While supporters of Manchester United, i.e. Ruggedman, were angered that the Spain World Cup winner rejected a much publicised move to Old Trafford just about everybody else reacted in hilarity.
The 28-year-old, product of the La Liga champions’ academy has scored 99 goals in 326 appearances since his debut in 2008.
His move to Stamford Bridge was helped following a chat with former Barcelona teammates such as Cesc Fabregas and Victor Valdes.
ESPN say those talks caused Pedro to reconsider his first preference which was to join United.
He will be Chelsea’s second signing in less than a week after the arrival of Ghana defender Baba Rahman.
