Ex-Super Eagles winger, Emmanuel Amunike, has expressed his delight to finally pick up three points as Tanzania coach.

The Tafia Stars defeated Cape Verde 2-0 on Tuesday to move behind Uganda in Group L of Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

Amunike’s team had managed just two points from their first three matches.

The Nigerian manager couldn’t hide his joy after the win at Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium.

“The extraordinary effort put in by the boys was rewarded most especially my Captain,” he told FootballLive.

“He was truly a leader in the field of play after he missed a penalty he Assisted the First Goal and scored the Second goal what a way of showing his quality.

“We are close to achieving our dreams of qualifying the Team for AFCON 2019.”
