Controversial singer Charles Oputa popularly known as Charly Boy and Area Fada has said he is used to a life of suffering and challenges despite his rich heritage and pedigree.
The Area Fada revealed this in an interview reported on Friday, saying that he did not leave Nigeria for fear of Buhari or the nation’s bad economy.
”Me, leave Nigeria to go to where? I’m on a well deserved vacation and I’m going home in a few weeks. I cannot live anywhere outside Nigeria. We will all live or die here. Nobody fit push me comot from papas land, god punish dem. Dem no reach samsam.
”I am use to a life of suffering and challenges regardless of my spotless pedigree and my rich heritage,” he said.
In 2012, Charly Boy threatened to take legal action against two national newspapers after it was reported that he was gay and a member of the Illuminati.
In 2020, Charly Boy’s daughter Dewy Oputa came out as a lesbian.
