Aisha Buhari celebrates Sallah with orphans in Abuja

Aisha Buhari at orphanageWife of the President, Aisha Muhammadu Buhari, has appealed to caregivers in orphanage homes to pay greater attention at every stage of growth of the children to properly develop their capacity for a stable future.

Mrs Buhari spoke in Gwagwalada, Abuja on Thursday when she joined children of Giri Orphanage for the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

She said it was very imperative to take proper care of children in orphanages by showing them love and care so that they can become future leaders in their own right like any other child in the country.

The wife of the President expressed optimism that necessary attention will be accorded by governments in improving facilities at orphanage homes to meet required standards.

Earlier, Permanent Secretary of the Federal Capital Territory Administration, Engineer John Chukwu, said Mrs Buhari’s motherly was a morale booster that will have positive impact on the children.

The wife of the President ate Sallah meal with the children who sang and presented a thank you gift before inspecting the dormitories for facility assessment.
