Airline bans man for life for urinating in plane cabin

An airline has banned a 32-year-old man for life for urinating in the plane cabin during his flight.

The passenger, who was flying from Guernsey to Gatwick in the UK on Aurigny airline, began to urinate as the plane started approaching London.

After they landed at Gatwick the man found police officers waiting for him, and other passengers were kept on board as he was removed.

He was later given a fixed penalty notice and released.

CEO of Aurigny, Mark Darby, told the Guernsey Press he was in “total shock” and that the man has now been banned for life.

“We incurred large extension fees from the airport and also have to pay overtime for quite a number of staff,” he said.

“It cost us a lot of money and we will be considering our options to see if we may pursue him to recover our money.”
