Again: Davido and Wizkid fight for Africa’s best male artiste at MAMA

Wizkid DavidoPopular Nigerian artistes, Davido and Wizkid, will go head-to-head for the Best Male Artiste award at the MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA) which comes up on Saturday, July 18 2015 at the Durban International Convention Centre (ICC), KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

Other artistes in the category are AKA (South Africa), Diamond (Tanzania) and Sarkodie (Ghana).

In all, Davido has four nominations for MAMA 2015 including collaborations, while Wizkid has three.

On the other hand, Seyi Shay and Yemi Alade will square up for the Best Female Act award. They are joined by Bucie (South Africa), Busiswa (South Africa) and Vanessa Mdee (Tanzania).

Other Nigerian acts on the list are Flavour, Olamide, Phyno, Lil Kesh, BasketMouth, O. C. Ukeje, Burna Boy, Patoranking, Seyi Shay, Yemi Alade, P-Square and Nneka.

It should be recalled that both Davido and Wizkid were nominated for the Best Male Act at the 2014 edition of the awards, but Davido was eventually crowned winner.
