After Ghanaian inventor, Okonjo-Iweala promotes handwashing basins by Nigerian, Guinean

Former minister of finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, has drawn attention to other handwashing innovations made in Nigeria and Guinea.

Mrs Okonjo-Iweala shared pictures of the innovations on Twitter on Monday, saying they were ‘strong testament’ to the ingenuity of young Africans.

“My tweet about the young Ghanaian who designed a #COVID19-purposed hand wash basin has attracted attention to similar innovations from other young Africans in Guinea and Nigeria,” she wrote.

“These tech innovations are a strong testament to the ingenuity of young Africans!”

Okonjo-Iweala had on Sunday tweeted about a young Ghanaian who designed a solar-powered handwashing basin.
